Dear Dr. Ritamarie and Dr. Brown,

Thank you so very much for access to this life-saving information. I was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis at age 57, despite having a decent diet and a fair amount of exercise, or so I thought. It turns out I had undiagnosed Celiac disease and other complications resulting from homozygous MTHFR 677t. The really traumatic part of the ordeal was staving off the numerous Drs. that insisted that bone drugs (which I felt would only mask the symptoms), were my only option. In my gut,(pun intended), I knew something else or multiple somethings were causing the osteoporosis, as opposed to it existing on its own or as a result of “age”.
Your informative discussion has given me even more information which I can use to continue to heal my bones (and muscles!) and I thank you both for being voices of reason in a medical system that can at times seem wildly unreasonable.
    Many thanks,
    Rosene Compaine

OMG The timing for this could not be more perfect! I, too had long standing undiagnosed Celiac disease like the commentor above and I just had 4 hailine rib fractures from a massage last week. I saw Dr. Peter Green speak at a Celiac Symposium years ago and he said there was no evidence that drugs for osteoporosis were effective in patients with Celiac disease so I appreciate learning of natural ways to halt or reverse bone loss. Thank you both for getting this important information out. I am signing up right now so I can stay informed.

Go to GlutenfreeFairyGodmother.com to find out if you have the symptoms of Celiac disease.

    Gratefully, Maia Alpern
