Have you noticed how many health and wellness coaches are graduating from places like the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and similar schools? I am amazed and excited by it. Twenty eight years ago, when I was struggling with my own health, holistic practitioners were a rare breed and health coaches didn’t even exist.
The fact that there are so many holistic health and nutrition practitioners now says that as a society we are trending towards a new health care system, one that focuses on health rather than disease. By taking a functional approach to heal challenges, rather than a symptom suppression model, we get to the root cause and truly improve the quality of people’s lives.
I see it all the time. And as a result of knowing how to dig into the physiology and biochemistry of my patient’s health challenges and applying the tools nature has provided, I am able to help people who’ve been looking for answers for many years, sometimes even decades.
