There’s lots happening this week!

I just got back from NY where I attended my brother-in-law’s funeral and I am working through a backlog of paperwork, rescheduled appointments and events that are happening soon.  I have a couple of really juicy blog posts planned – one very inspiring about an amazing feat performed by a cousin of mine with multiple sclerosis and the other about travel food and a truly wonderful restaurant I found in NY.

As I always tell my patients and students when they are feeling a bit overwhelmed…BREATHE!

Breathing and appreciation are key to reducing the cortisol your body produces in response to stress, and thus just may be part of the solution to belly fat.  Your bulging midline just may be related to a problem with your blood sugar and poorly regulated insulin function.  Stress is just one of the things that causes your blood sugar to get high and your cells to become resistant to insulin when it’s secreted in excess to manage your blood sugar.

I have two events you need to attend this week if you suspect that your blood sugar is not stable and your midline is rounder than you’d like.

The first one is a webinar called “Taming Your Midline” and reveals my 30 day Insulin Sensitivity Restoration system to help you reduce your insulin requirement and restore your insulin sensitivity, leading to a flatter belly, a sharper brain and increased energy.

The package includes the live webinar, the recording of the webinar, insulin resistance self assessment with score card of risk, instructions on how do your own home glucose tolerance test to track your progress, checklist of lab work for monitoring insulin resistance checklist of foods that hurt and foods that heal insulin sensitivity checklist of supplements that improve insulin sensitivity and a 30 day plan with some recipes.

The second event is one I am doing with Tera Warner of the Raw Divas called “5 Most Common Mistakes Most People Make on a Juice Cleanse (and how to avoid them)!“

On this call we’ll share answers to common questions about Juice cleansing, one of the strategies that works beautifully to restore insulin sensitivity and reduce belly fat.

  • can people with diabetes and other blood sugar related conditions safely do a detox
  • why is bingeing after a cleanse so common
  • what can you do to overcome intense hunger and food cravings
  • is it safe to do a juice cleanse? for how long?
  • are there any fruits and vegetables whose juice should be avoided, or limited?

The third event is a blog talk radio interview with my friend Dr. Linda Joy Rose, author of “Raw Fusion”, a book about how to blend raw foods with cooked and make peace with those in your family who don’t necessarily subscribe to your chosen eating philosophy.

Check it out at 1:30 PM Central time at www.DrRitamarieRadio.com

I look forward to connecting with you soon.

Love, Health and Joy,

Although these remedies may relieve you of a cold momentarily, instead try using natural herbs that are actually healthy and beneficial to your body, easing
the pain, as well as working to prevent future
colds. Packaged and highly processed foods as well as fast foods are some of
the worst culprits. Water hydrates your cells and helps them to flush out toxins whilst retaining
    nutrients in.
