My news today is about my own health and my request for healing energy.
About a month ago I broke my arm.
Only I didn’t realize it was broken and thought it was just dislocated. I got an x-ray last Friday which revealed a severe fracture where a part of the humerus, called the capitellum, broke off and is sitting on top of the top of my radius, making it impossible to bend my arm more than 90 degrees.
It sounds more painful than it is. Yes, it hurts to try to bend my arm, scratch my nose or put my hair in a ponytail…but other than the first 2 weeks when it hurt at night and woke me up a few times it’s been ok. Typing has been limited to 5-10 minute intervals.
Anyway, I have explored options and came to the realization that the only way to get the bone back in its place and be able to use my arm fully again is surgery.
As you know I seek alternatives as much as possible. However, I have to admit that trauma and displaced bones are in the realm of medical specialty, not herbs and nutrition. Of course I will use my nutritional and alternative medicine skills, including magnets, energy medicine, acupuncture, herbal compresses etc. to promote rapid healing once the bone is in place.
I wish I could find a way to move the bone fragment back and make it stay without surgery!
I am sure open to ideas.
Thanks for your support through what will likely be a month of recuperation and slightly less busy pace.
A few events will have to be rescheduled and my team and I are working on that.
I will keep you posted on my progress and would appreciate your healing thoughts and prayers.
Here’s my healing journey blog post where you can post them – it would make it easier for me to see them quickly and make a lot less work for my help desk if you send me your wishes there!
In the meantime, we are planning to do the G.R.E.E.N. Cleanse as planned – I will need it to recuperate from surgery!
You are invited to join me for the G.R.E.E.N.Cleanse kickoff webinar – even if you are not yet registered. What I will share that night will profoundly improve your health if you follow through! It’s rescheduled to Wednesday Sept 11 at 5:30 pm Central. Register HERE for FREE Green Cleanse webinar.
C.A.F.E. members, this gives you extra time to get your adrenal saliva test results back to me before our bonus call, which is rescheduled for September 24, 2013 instead of next week.
Be sure to check out the radio show this week and learn about live blood cell analysis and signup for a free webinar my friend and colleague is doing on Sept 10th. It’s geared towards health practitioners and also concerned parents who want their kids to be successful at school and happy at home.

The Top 3 Mistakes Busy People Make When Doing Cleanses
Periodic deep cleansing is a desirable thing. You probably do it to your home, your car, even your pets. But chances are, you don’t even think about doing a periodic cleansing of your internal organs.
Throughout the ages, various forms of cleansing have been used to rest, heal and restore mental clarity. Water and juice fasting are among the most rigorous methods.
A variety of potions and powders have been developed to cleanse the colon and the liver. Many of these cleansing methods work well. All have advantages and disadvantages. It’s been a real challenge to find something that can work for most everyone.
I briefly mentioned that my friend and colleague Dr. Phyllis Books is doing a webinar on Sept 10. She has developed some amazing techniques for solving tough cases related to neurological imbalances. She also has a 5 part video series she is offering for free on novel assessments you can do with your patients and clients to determine what’s going on in their neurology!
We are going into week 2 of IRSPT (Insulin Resistance Solutions Practitioner Training) This week we’ll jump into nutrition: the food, herbs and supplements you can use with your clients to balance blood sugar and reverse insulin resistance. Kale Salad with Lime Sesame Marinade
Enjoy this delicious kale salad by adding your own toppings or as is. Sesame seeds add bone strengthening power to this highly nutritious green salad, something I will be needing a lot of in the upcoming weeks!
1 head kale, shredded or chopped into small pieces
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 lime juiced
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 medium red bell pepper, diced
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup leeks or green onions, finely diced
Rinse kale and place in a bowl.
Cover kale with salt and massage until kale wilts. Continue until the kale has shrunk in size and there is green water in the bowl. Drain the liquid, reserving for later.
Add lime juice and massage again.
In a separate bowl, combine sesame oil with a few teaspoons of the reserved liquid.
Press garlic into the juice/oil mixture and stir or shake well.
Chop bell peppers and leeks or onions. Add to kale.
Pour dressing over salad and toss well, squeezing with hands so that the marinade penetrates the kale. Allow to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes or longer before serving.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and toss once again right before serving.
