Surely everyone has experienced the healing properties of music at one time or another.  But to REALLY impact your health, sing along!  A number of studies have shown that singing lowers heart rate, decreases blood pressure and stress, and improves lung capacity.  It also improves posture, relaxation, mood, confidence, concentration, and generally speaking just makes you happier person.

The deep breathing and aerobic activity involved in singing stimulates several helpful physiological responses.

You don’t have to sound professional to gain these benefits, so don’t let your ability (or lack thereof) hold you back.  Find a time and place today to just belt it out and get those juices flowing!
